There's something to be said for the simple clean lines of the 912 (and older 911's) of the long hood era, with the steel wheels and hubcaps. It's a classic vintage look that you don't see all that often because they are so often replaced by Fuchs. I noticed that the wheels are also sporting trim rings, how rare are those? Beautiful car in a classy color.

What can you tell me about the trim rings? Were they a dealer accessory or aftermarket? Porsche would have put an identifying marking and part number on them somewhere, I believe. They look very similar to Volkswagen trim rings of the era.
