Default Short Bellhousing trans?

I have an 86 new to me 930, and it needs a trans rebuild. I also happen to have a 77 short Bellhousing trans rebuilt with lsd on the shelf. What do I need to do to fit this short Bellhousing trans? Or should I just sell her off and rebuild?

I think that's part of a 915 5 speed upgrade, I'd pump it and rebuild your current tranny.

You should sell the short bell trans and rebuild what's in the car.

There will be a difference in the clutch between the two, and the short bell with move the motor a bit further back (not a bad thing) toward the cabin.. and you will then need to build a custom engine mount to compensate for those few inches.

What? A 77 930 box has nothing to do with a 915. It's one of the most desireable 930 boxes.

hot-J,
I'm with onboost. Sell it and rebuild your numbers matching box. You can get really nice money for that short 77; way more than rebuilding your current box will cost you.

Id like to buy the Box as i have a 1977 930 but with a 915 box and i want to put back in her what was intended,
note this as my interest for a Fair price im in Australia so freight big $ but id ike to try,

But yours complete with LSD so thats the Short Bellhousing, the matching 4 speed transmission id pay $7000, (freight will be another $3000??????)
So if you can get it to me including Freight $10k (If too much can someone chime in cos i dont know prices either, 10k is all i have anyway lol

If this works ill have a perfect 915 and diff and bits for sale
