You might be able to use a needle valve or mech. boost control feeding the top of the wastegate to tweak the boost.

Whatever your gauge is reading is what you have assuming your gauge is accurate. The boost spring rating is just to get you close to what you want or maybe it will be right on if your lucky. But when upgrading for more power than stock you might have to have a .8 or .9bar to equal 1bar at the manifold for example.

Thanks Brent. I dont even track my car so even when it does goto 1 bar, its only for a short time. I'm just sticking with my spring. Which spring you using?

Funny you should ask again, my car is in the shop and I have changed out the spring (now .8bar) in my WG to where the valve just opens at 1bar. This of course is with no exhaust pressure but my system flows very well and the boost should be around 14psi in the car. I might have to teak it by a needle valve or something like I mentioned before. Will know by next week.

Have you guys ever changed your filters? the get dirty and clogged and lead to irregulat boost control. Are you sure you have the dip switches set correctly on the back of the unit?

OK, I got some info that could explain what is happening, maybe. The problem may not be the EBC but the BOV. We use the kind that just dumps with vacuum instead of also dumping if there is too much boost. Wether I blip or feather the throttle (never full throttle) that a large spike could be getting through the TB because of the BOV's we use? What do you guys think?
