Default driving with an error code

I recently got a 0430 error code that I can't clear. I am going on a trip this weekend - about 500 miles. I want to get some thoughts on running this car with a possible bad O2 sensor. I don't think it is a lift problem, because the diagnostics manual tells me that it comes on after 6000 revs after it is reset. Mine comes on immediately, and if the cat is bad I can't do much more damage to it. My concern is will it affect the cat if the O2 sensor is bad. I don't have a Durametric to pin-point the problem - but will get one now. I just don't have the time to do the fix before the trip. The engine runs fine.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

That's all we 930'ers need is another conflicting piece of information. Say NO to codes!
