Default NO reverse or speedometer

Does anyone have an idea why my 84 - 930 won't go into reverse and the speedometer does not work now. Everything was working just fine on Saturday. Took the car out for a spin, backed it into my driveway. Then later that day, went to back it into the garage and I could not get it into reverse.

All the way left and up felt right, but it went forward. Then I noticed as I went to turn the car around and pull in forward that the speedometer was not working.

Could be the bushing on your coupler(under your car...in between your rear seats). You also may want to check on the Pelican forums for answers as well.

No I don't think so. If you go on Pelican, there are a few guys from MD who are very knowledgeable. Might be beneficial to have someone local look at it.

If the bushing on the coupler goes bad it should not affect the speedometer in any way....now if one unplugs the wires(as shown in your photo) than it will most certainly affect the speedometer.

OP should pull the carpet back ,remove the cover, and have a look. My money would be on a loose shift rod clamp somehow getting together with the speedo wiring.
