Called today, $595 for rebuild, including balancing. Seems reasonable.

I had my K27-7006 rebuilt by them couple of months ago and I was charged the same amount. My car runs great and no more smoking, am very happy with the results. I'd like to add that the turn around was very fast.

You may also want to PM Kevin. He is a frequent RL contributor and in the business of building turbos.

I received a call from Vicki at Durabilt ... The turbine and compressor wheels have excessive wear and need to be reconditioned or replaced with new. I asked that the parts be replaced with new units ($375 total), but I'm curious as to why they are worn? I'm going to call this morning and talk to the tech that is working on my turbo, has anyone else experienced the same? Btw, my turbo has about 20k miles since new.

That's a new one on me. There's just a shaft that rides in a bushing/bearing,right? Did it seem to have any play? If he's talking about blades, what would wear the blades that wouldn't be doing a number on your motor at the same time?
