930 - Water problem
Hi folks,
please allow me to introduce myself/my car before posting my first question ever in this forum: I just bought a silver 1982 930 with about 90k miles on the odometer (rough calculation, thinking in km). Very recently, the car has received a thorough technical revision at RUF in Pfaffenhofen. Engine and transmission run beautifully, now.
Took it out for a fist drive today, and of course encountered some rain. Not heavy but enough to have water coming in through the passenger side door. The water came in from the upper part of the front frame of the door and dripped onto the dashboard.
I really hope this has to do with the door seals and not some more severe issue...
Any advice on how to approach the issue would be much appreciated. Links to older threads I have not found as well...
Kind regards,
Andreas

You need to give it the wasser hose spray test. You need someone to spray while you look to see where it comes from. I would hit the upper part of the wind screen first. The rubber seals/gasket will leak with age. Then the door. If you get no leaks from that it time to douche the sunroof. If the drains are clogged you could get pooling in there that could result in a leak towards the front of the car.
