What is the deal with the location of the 3rd brake light? My car (86 930) has it mounted inside at top of rear window, but I've seen others with the "ET" light on top of the tail.

For '87 they moved it to the pod on the top of the tail. Starting in model year '88 Porsche moved it back to the inside at the top of the rear window just like your car...where it completely blocks the drivers view of overtaking police cruisers.

What about the one which seems to fit outside, on the very top of the rear glass where it reaches the roof line? I believe it's an aftermarket item, but very discrete and doesn't block your view of the trooper's ticket pad.

I cant stand where the brakelight is on mine (inside top glass center). Its right in the sight line of cars directly behind you almost to the point that you cannot see the car behind you. Why they would do back to this location I have no idea. The pod HAS to be better.

I found that third brake light which fits nicely out of the way... waiting to hear if it fits our breed....

Gino, that's the way the factory SHOULD have done it. I'm all for keeping mine stock though.
