Aux air regulator question
Looks like the 86 930 has a bad AAR unit (open circuit on device heater). Does anyone know what the power cycle to this is? ie should I expect 12 v right away when ignition is on (not the case) or only after temp sensors detect engine warming? I'm trying to decide if the wiring is functioning properly. Where is this circuit fed from? It looks like parallel with the warmup regulator. I can't tell if it's supposed to be fused from the microfiche circuit diagram. The car starts fine cold but has a high idle when warm. Pinching the line from the intercooler to the AAR drops the idle so it looks like the AAR is the culprit. I cycled it in an oven at 250 (closed tight) and the freezer (opened) but without the bimetallic strip working it apparently won't close enough from ambient temp. Any info welcomed!
