Default Looking to put seats in my 80 930 Turbo

So I just purchased a 80 930 Turbo that has reupholstered seats that I personally don't like. Rather than getting them reupholstered again, I was looking for a used pair of front seats .. Any recomendations ?

Unless you're looking for Sparco, Recaro, Corbeau, Momo, etc... to use for track events, spend the $ on a quality resto/reupholster at a reputable shop like Autobahn Interiors http://www.autobahninteriors.com 858.453.2400

Ask for Tony. I've had several sets redone there and I currently have two sets of seats there now; a set of '65 911 and a set of '75 Turbo seats.

Worth E V E R Y penny and look like NOS when he's finished.

Let me know if I can help.

We have the Corbeau seat line in our showroom just 15 minutes out the Holland or Lincoln. The Corbeau GTS II in black leather would be a really nice seat and would look period correct as well.

Try pelican parts bbs for used seats, the ones to get are the sport model made by Recaro. Not inexpensive but worth as they are the correct seats for the car. The standard 911 is not so great.

I am in the planning to restore the interior of my 1981 930, I am pretty sure that the interior was reupholster before. So I do not know that the finish by previous owner did is original style or not. What my current front and back seat now are the leather with dot style (I do not know what is the technical word for this thing) So I would like to ask whether the original type or period correct type for 1981 930 is a plain leather seat or leather with dot/hole style

Any inputs would be really appreciated

khunnammon,

Photos of you seats in current condition might be able to help us in giving you some advice. There are a bunch of knowledgable Turbo owners on this forum that can give you some assistance and direction.

Can you post some phoos for us ?

Here is what a 80-84 sport should look, these are beaters but you'll get the general idea.

I will replacing the front stock seat with the sport seat. And the sport seat is perforated. So my wondering is whether the original rear seat for 1981 is perforated or plain leather?

Here are the picture of the sport seat that I will put on my car

The back seat you picture is for a later car, 87-90 or so, with the red **** for locking them in place.

My 88 has the red ***** as you point out but they are not perforated. Perhaps that was a special order?
