Post Turbocharger upgrade for 3.0 930

Hello all you Boost Junkies,

Do any of you have any happy or memorable experiences upgrading the 3LDZ turbochargers on a
non-intercooled 1977 3.0 930????

If so, what is the general recommendation. I'm looking for faster spool-up times.
New motor (7K on the odometer) has SC330 cams, TIAL wastegate and B&B exhaust, otherwise its stock. Car sees lots of autobahn time, but in city spool-up to boost is like molasses. Running 0.75 bar boost. Help wanted!! Porsche says motor is A1 with no boost leaks.

Thank you for allowing to benefit from your experiences.

Thumbs up

Slow Turbo,
I also have a 77, 930. I bought a ceramic bb
turbo from Turbo Concepts in Brighton MI. My
turbo is awesome, boost comes on at 2,000
and pulls hard to red line at 6,750. I spoke
to Nick who was very helpful to me. They custom built my turbo for my car and what I wanted
out of it. There phone # is 1-734-954-0096

Slow turbo,

This might be slightly unrelated, but I noticed that you are based in Germany; I was wandering if Albert1st still exist? Also, do you know of any good sources of used parts?

Thanks,

i have a 3.2 shortstoke turbo which was built on a 3.0 block. it is non-intercooled and running .75 bars boost and i have an k-27 7200 and it starts to boost around 2500 and pulls real strong around 3500-4000 and is real nice. i plan on intercooling the car.

Highly modified Garrett T3 with all the goodies and a low price. Mine comes on at 28-2900 and quickly, quickly spools and is strong at 7200prm - redline for me now.
You will need an adaptor.
