intercooler for 77 930

intercooler for 77 930
looking for an intercooler and the plumbing for an 3.0 turbo motor. any one have or can you recommend a place that sells the parts. thanks John

John - I do not believe there are any kits specifically for this. Most people just use the kits for the 3.3 motor. Depending on the boost and power you expect to run, I would think a used IC from a 3.3 930 would work for you. These can often be had on eBay for less than $100. I have one lying around as well if you are interested.

Bill i was told that the intake system is different so a 3.3 intercooler will not just adapt. i was told there is a special kit for the pipeing for a 3.0 liter induction system. any help would be appriciated. thanks John

Hello,
I did this change over w/ my '76 930. Here's what you will need:
-3.3 ltr intercooler
-3.3 ltl intake manifold
-3.3 ltr throtle body
-3.3 ltr blow off valve (pop off valve)
-3.3 ltr intercooler connection that connects it to the fan housing (a support piece)
I think that is it. I bought all of the pieces used for about $600.00. It gives the car a bit more punch and a bigger margin for safety when raising the boost levels.
