Bud, I saw the same thing on the CR radio from a '78/79 911 SC or 930. Those mirrors are "far out". It's one thing to molest the doors on '75 930s with electric flag mirrors but the fenders - ouch!!!

I really like the tartan dress sport seats...very cool.

Even if they weren't on the fenders...Talbot Jr. mirror are not a stock or option Porsche item.

This seller appears to be involved with "Top Gear" in NJ.

Seller informed me that the fender mirrors were "Factory Original Equipment" I laughed so hard I almost pissed myself

I asked seller how he came up with his selling price and he says; "A '75 just sold on Rennlist and this car is the exact same thing" ! ! ! ! !

What's that ole saying ........oh yeah; "Ignorance is Bliss"

All I can say is if this car is worth $169k.......I better up all my policy values !

Chuck,

I never said mirrors they were factory oem. I said that owner picked up the car at factory for a European delivery and was concerned about the one mirror only so had the 2 Talbot mirrors put on. He's 80 yrs old now and his memory is foggy. He said he thinks it was a dealer ad on.
I also never said 75 is the same exact thing! I said its at least an indication of the market and that there really arent any comps. You see you were to busy being obnoxious that you weren't listening to anything I was saying. You merely called to bash me and the car instead of offering some advice...we should be on the same team. Im far from a noobie, probably been on here longer than most so trust me ignorant I'm far from.
We have gotten some pretty solid offers that are getting very close to asking from around the globe and guess what? The mirrors were the least of there concerns....because these are real check writers. Maybe you should consider upping you policy before they disappear from your garage

I've always wondered how one gets exposure like that. Do you post on Porsche forums and eBay or do you advertise in other places?

Silver and Black with Black Watch Tartan is my dream car combination! I'd love to see it draw this kind of $ at those levels total restorations on much lesser cars start to become conceivable.

Wow! kudos to you guys if you get close to asking price(for every seat there's an A$$)..hope the current 80 year old (with the foggy memory) owner gets a huge chunk of it.

You ad does state all original..which would lead some to believe you mean all original from the factory..we all know those mirrors aren't oem. Gotta admit though those mirros are HORRIBLE! Car looks great and the interior is cool looking.

btw...something tells me Chuck himself is a check writer(gave me 2 checks...lol)..especially for the right car....his collection is quite impressive..

You are correct...I kinda meant all original as in unmodified performance wise. Should have been more specific.
