RUF Fuel Enrichment
Does anyone know how RUF increased fuel by using a pressure regulator installed between the warm up regulator and the top of the fuel distributor? This was used in the RUF BTR upgrade. If you check Bruce Anderson's book there is a pic of the BTR kit and to the right you can see the regulator.
I assume this changes the control pressure. Typically you reduce the control pressure to richen the fuel mixture. However, how does this regulator reduce the control pressure? It has no vacuum line to sense boost and has and adjustment screw at the top. I would expect that it can only increase the control pressure by restricting the flow from the fuel distributor to the warm up regulator.
Also why is this not commonly used? As compared the the Andial and 7th injector mods?
