Default VERY Original low miles '79 Turbo for sale

Not mine but it appears to be a REALLY original example in Ohio;

Window sticker
ALL tools, records
Original pulley belts and correct Pirelli tires

http://www.motorcargroup.com/web/use...n-Ohio/867999/

Lots of photos for reference.

Looks like a VERY authentic low mileage car !

Beautiful car! Looks very plain jane w/o sport seats but shockingly nice. I really like the fact it has the correct 85 mph speedo, how often do you see that? I wouldn't want red, but I would have no problem having that car in my garage!

The only surprising error in their listing is that they have a 996 tire pump, for a car this correct and for this $$ take the time to find the correct tire pump, or at least don't show the 996 pump because it makes you look like you don't know the difference.

Supposedly, the OE tire pump no longer worked and this is what the dealer supplied as a replacement. I'd've kept the broken OE pump.

Just throw the spring-loaded rear tow hook into the tool bag and it's complete.
It might be stored with the jack(?)

Although the spring-loaded rear tow hook works on the US '79 930, I'm not aware that it was ever supplied in the 930 tool kit (for either the 1979 or 1980 build cars) at any time during 1979.

Let me add, the red #0912 at Motor Car and the silver #0724 at Canepa are very accurate appearing 1979 examples.
I looked a long time before buying mine and trust me, well represented '79's just do not come up very often.

Bud

I dont believe the tow hooks were supplied in the tool kit for 1979. There is not one in mine and I have never seen a 1979 kit with one. Does yours have one? I have a complete spare tool kit from a 1976 930 that does have one.

Jay +Bud, the dealer had given me the tow hook when I picked up the car, he said it might come in handy.
I've always had a tow hook in the tool bag of any new or used Porsche that I'd bought. Luckily the day the flatbed came to grab the 930, fuel pump problem, and tightly parked (un-towable) between cars, that tow hook worked spot on. I pulled it out of the space with a tow line attached to my F150 . Flatbed man took it from there. So if it wasn't put in the tool kit at Zuffenhausen, I owe that salesman a beer.

I also have one with the plastic instruction card attached for - just in case. The '79 has the hole with plug already in the bumper and the receiver bracket welded to the frame. Why it was never included is a mystery to me

sent you a pm.

Some years ago this 930 used to belong to Robert and Cam Ingram who own Road Scholars, the Ingrams along with Kevin Watts have only the finest of the fine.

Whoever buys it should(as was already said) source the original webster air compressor and put the proper cigarette lighter in it (it has the later style).
A car like this should be always preserved as a time capsule. IMHO.
