Whats the typical lifespan of a CIS fuel injector?
Does Porsche recommend simply changing them every "X" miles?
When purchasing injectors are there aftermarket injectors which are better than the stock?

It's recommended to have them checked and cleaned after every 30k miles or so. You should also have them flow checked and balanced since even new ones are not all equal. This is cheaper than buying new ones.
Nope, there isn't another injector that will fit in place of the stock injector block.
