what size tires do I need?

I would be careful with 17s. I had 17x9/11 and tire availability was becoming an issue.
Though 17x7/9 is a popular size on older 911s, your 930 can swallow a lot more rubber. I recommend you go 18x9/11 instead. Then you can run tires for the GT3 or many other newer Porsches. They will always make R-Compounds for the GT3 so that is a safer bet.
You can't put too much rubber on a 930. Okay - you can. I had 315s on 11s and that was sloppy. But 225/295 combination is tight and works really well. If you really want 315 you can fit 12s... But that is a lot of rubber.

I did not like the look of 18's on the front, so I went with 17 x 8.5 fronts, 18 x 11 rears.
A little unconventional, but not uncommon to have a diameter stagger, as well as a width stagger.
Tire selection for the rear's is greatly improved with 18's, not a problem with selection for 17's on the front.

17" tires are hard to find for sure! But IMO, not too hard to find great tires for for a 7" or 9" wheels X 17.
I recently installed 9" and 11" wheels on my 930 and in the "wider" sizes you are very limited with 17" tires.
