I'm considering adding methanol injection to my engine and was wondering what others have experienced.

I'm currently getting 385 RWHP and looking for an additional 50 -75. I'll take an additional 100 hp if I don't have to increase my boost too much. Currently tuned at 1/2 bar and 1 bar.

The engine was originally rebuilt by TPC Racing and I plan on having them install the methanol injection system.

I too am looking at installing water/methanol injection system in my 500hp 930. While I expect som modest hp gains, I am doing it as detonation protection from crappy 91 octane West Coast gas.

Tailwind22, why the water/methanol mix? I understand the 50/50 mix is safer.

I asked Tom from TPC the same question. He told me if I was worried about it being safe, then I shouldn't be doing it.
