Good point, missed that.
I think you could buy ROW cars with fewer options then what was available standard in the US (cloth seats, air cond, etc). The fuel system on the '80 is ROW (ROW from a USA perspective of course) and supports as much hp as the '79's.

I think they switched to the 'alternative' fueling systems around 1980.
Its kind of moot since you can easily take care of any fuel shortages on a 930 while leaving the CIS system intact by using the following device.
