Has anybody seen the AIR 934 bumper? I would be interested in a group purchase.

I haven't seen it firsthand. Only in pics.

I posted a message on PelicanParts.com because I think some guys there have purchased AIR stuff for their 911s. I'm hoping they can at least comment on the quality.

The Pelican post is not too complimentary about the AIR quality. I saw an intersting thread quite awhile ago on Pelican about a 934 style front. Somebody overseas had exactly what we were looking for. I will try to recover the info.

Another big bonus is the weight reduction. You can remove the entire stock front bumper assembly with this option. The picture I got from AIR was not very good, and made the product look clunky. The RSR turbo stuff from GT racing just doesn't quite do it for me. Too many 930S spoilers out there as well.

So...is there some kind of consensus here?Everybody likes the look of the AIR 934 front bumper, but the quality is in question.I am contacting MA Shaw to see if they have comparable product. If not, I have to decide whether to gamble or not.

Count me in for one similar to the white 934, without those fender extensions. The AIR part 934-01 that is made for the 9" front fenders replaces the "whole" front bumper assembly. The weight savings would be nice bonus.

I've got the AIR 934 airdam on my 930. It's nice. The guy there makes all the glass bits for Monte Shelton's cars, and has for a very, very long time. These are "real deal" 934 parts, back from the Interseries days.

The fit is good for a fiberglass part. Some amount of stretching over some days was required to get it to fit right. That's NORMAL when doing this sort of thing -- it's "some fabrication required" not "some assembly required"

For pics, go to "http://photos.yahoo.com/pdxporscheguy" then to "My Photos" then to "93A0070078" then to "New Nose". It's a tough bastard, too. Speedbumps, curbs, track debris, all sorts of little "oops".

Stan Hanks,
Very nice but looks pretty much similar to my 930S front bumper. Think I'm most probably going for the Ruf yellowbird front bumper.

Thanks Stephan.

Stephen:

Count me in as one who wants a 934 front end as well.

Cost and Quality are my primary concerns.

Sounds like we have 3-4 interested in the AIR front bumper ...934-01?Any more? If Stephen is not able to assist, I can make a call to see if they are interested in making a deal as well. If there has not been any movement by Monday, I will make the call.
