Default Question about tires for original 16" Fuchs

As we all know, the factory size 245/45/16 suggested for the rear wheels on930's are no longer available. The closest matching set I can find are in the following sizes:

205/55/16 (front) & 245/50/16 (rear)
or
205/55/16 (front) & 255/50/16 (rear)

Has anyone here used any of these alternate sizes? If so can you post pics.

Also would like opinions on which would looks the best?

Thanks,
Bill

Thanks!

Does it matter wrt DE/Track events that the service description differs between 205s and 245s?

The 205 says "91V" while the 245 says "94W".

That reminded me...I think these were the ones I saw in the catalog at the Firestone (getting tires and some work done for another car) where the guy said they had appropriate sizes...I got enthusiastic then I hedged because I noticed the difference in Serv. Desc. and wondered if it made a difference in the "don't mix tires!" thing.

I forgot the exact brand (Bridgestone) as well as model (RE-11) by the time I got to try looking it up on Tire Rack (using the "matched tires" search) then thought I imagined the whole thing.

Okay, the rear tires seem to be on-again off-again in availability for our stock turbo 16" Fuchs, so I found this size up for front and rear.

215/55 x 16 front
255/50 x 16 rear

Good prices on this tire too, but that's not the most important. Wondering --

a) Will they fit?
b) Are they a good overall choice for performance? I drive strictly on the street.
