Default Anymore horsepower left on the table?

I'm going to put her back on the dyno soon to tweak the fuel (BL adjustable WUR). Trying to get it no higher than 12 AFR at 6k rpm. Also going to work on the idle and cruise speed fuel AFRs. My question is this. So far I'm at 352 rwhp at 4800 rpm and 436 rwtq at 3400 rpm. Is there anymore on the table if I tweak the fuel or have I hit the ceiling? 79 930; Modifications are new Fabspeed full exhaust, headers, intercooler, new K27/29, tial 46mm wastegate, PMS clutch and LWFW, oil cooler. Dyno attached.

You're pushing 400 crank now, I think without going EFI and an electronic ignition you're probably very near the ceiling. I'd stop where you are, any other gains are minuscule and very expensive. You're at a great power level right now.

Somehow, I knew you were gonna say that brother!
Good luck on the build and keep us updated.

What HP gains can you expect with EFI and an electronic ignition? I'm currently 385 RWHP without EFI. I'll be starting my restoration soon (as soon as new home is purchased) and want to refresh/upgrade my engine while I perform all the other stuff.

I don't think you'll gain a lot more horsepower when you convert to EFI unless you get a different turbo (Garrett?). EFI gives you a more precise consistant fuel delivery. You can map it to exact specifications (timing, full boost, idle, warm start, cold start, cruising, you name it). Safer, better throttle response, smoother more linear power.

Based on the ability to deliver the fuel more effectively, you could probably turn up the boost to 1.1, adjust your advance to a safe level and probably get another 25 safe horses. I'm sure someone else on the forum has done it and can give you real world results versus my speculation.

Your car is beautiful. I have a 1987 930S
Fabspeed Motorsport USA headers, Fabspeed dual outlet maxflo muffler, Motorsports USA koekelyn improved style intercooler with deck lid sealing shroud and rubber gasket, 1.0 bar spring set to 1.1 bar. K27 turbo, intercooler has no slip fit gaskets . C2 turbo style leakless

These last things can get you to around 400HP on pump gas. I had Powertec Porsche in rock away new jersey mike Dino and Keith Pearce do a performance rebuild while keeping the Stock engine appearance.

964 camshafts, ported manifold , billet large 964 style injector blocks. Keith put all back together carefully with new rings and rebuilt the 4 speed. The car melts the tires and makes me laugh and grin.
