Default Vehicle history report

Can anyone suggest a reputable source for a vehicle history report with the most info. Thanks.

Carfax is good but only goes back to mid 90's I believe. Hopefully the owner(s) kept good service history.

Good place to start, car fax does go back to thee mid eighties, beyond that you are perty much up to the habits of the P.O.

If you know where the car was last garaged, you can do some detective work by looking up independent shops in that area and calling them, you can find out a lot of information from the guys who worked on the car. I even found out the two p.o. names and contact #s on a 1972T I owned.

You must not mind being a pain in the ***, but it does work some times. FWIW Good luck.
