I am wondering where the ANDIAL 930 owners hang out?
Is there a registry?
I'm interested in the different versions that have come out of the work shop
77 911 Carrera
85 ANDIAL 930

Andial is primarily an engine builder to customer specs. I don't recall them building there own "version" of the 930 for sale.
Many different street and race cars had Andial built engines including mine![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Little brother has one too. He texted me a few weeks ago about them closing their doors. I told him he should have gotten a picture before that happened. Guy(my brother) worked there back in their heyday. He has some pretty funny stories.

Ok thanks.
This car was prepped by them twice, Top to Bottom, running gear, Chassis, brakes, suspension, balance.
Once in the early 90's as a 3.4l And again in the early naughties as a 3.5l
Im driving it from LA to Vegas and back in Sept/Oct.
I was hoping for some pointers re running the car that distance at that time of year.
It has a clean bill of health as per ANDIAL early last year, with just warm up stuff every Few weeks since, as its currently not rego'd.
I've had a '77 Carrera 930/02 NA for 15 years doing commutes in Australian summers with no issues.
Not familiar with Turbo engines over long distances.
I'm hoping for mild temps that time of year.
If the weather warms up when we drive are there any severe do's and don'ts.
I caught your "funny stories" comment Mussberger.
The thing with funny stories is they're only funny after the mess has been cleaned up and the bill's been paid lol
Open Desert+wife+2 kids+problem not so funny till much, much later.
Looking to avoid one of those.
Any help much appreciated.
I fly planes for a living as opposed to work on them.
Happy to get a lesson in sucking eggs folks.
Build sheet to follow.
Last service sheet to follow. Leak down numbers bottom left.

That's a nice car. Dieter makes no mention of fuel mods? Did he forget?
I think you will be fine as long as it's not blast furnace hot and you're creeping along in traffic. I have done that before on the way back from the river and it ain't no fun.

Yes it's a great car.
All the credit belongs to the previous owner.
Yes Mussberger, fuel enrichment was missed in the sheet.
It has a three stage selector next to the dial of death.
Been looking for the pic but can't find it.
Dieter said to leave it on two for normal ops with the boost adjuster hooked up and set to 1.0 bar. I got him to set it to make sure it was at one.
Was thinking of fitting an EGT gauge if/when I get brave enough to play with the boost dial to manage the fuel settings. Thoughts?
Ok, so traffic can be a problem.
Good to know.
As it happens, my wife (can I mention that word here???) was advised that when in Vegas it is best to stay on the strip or nearby to be able to walk places, as traffic can be heavy and you end up paying for a taxi ride to nowhere.
Sounds like the perfect scenario for a hot engine.
Fingers crossed for mild temps too.
Glad to hear I'm not likely to get into trouble other than managing the temp.
Thanks for the input.
Any other comments from those having dealt with issues around this sort of trip would be appreciated.

True enough, you would want to up the fuel pressure. With a euro car it's just a turn of the screw as they come with a different fuel distributor head. Maybe it's not mentioned cause it's so quick and easy to do.
Vegas shouldn't be a problem, just don't leave town on a Sunday or Monday

Even later to the game...but with limited Andial hard parts for sale,
I've found Aascomotorsports.com a good source.
High performance valve springs, twin plug distributors, clutch packages and good customer service !

To understand these cars, they were purchased new from Porsche then shipped to Andial for work? As opposed to the 964 Turbo S2 cars that were retrofitted by Andial before being sold at the Porsche dealer?
