Post Bought back my old 79 930

Today I bought back my 79 930 that I foolishly had traded in to a dealer about 2 years ago. It is serial # 1200 - the last 79 930 sold in the U.S. when Porsche decided to stop selling them here. I had owned the car for about 12 years prior to trading it in on a 02 911 Turbo, it has been the only car I ever really regretted getting rid of. When it came up for sale at the same dealer , I traded a 94 968 Cab for the 930 and some cash. How strange is that?? Anyway, I'm happy to be back among the trailing throttle oversteer crowd!!!

Ken, I'll get pictures posted as soon as the snow goes away in Chicago!! Somewhere I have a list of all the options when new , but I 'll have to do some digging. I think I can still get that from Porsche if my info is lost. It is still pretty much stock , with the exception of the exhaust, which I changed to B&B when I bought the car the first time and the turbocharger, which was upgraded to a K27 at the same time. Oh yeah, a Sony CD player also. I kept all the old stuff for posterity!! Dave

How much did they give you for your car when you originaly traded it in? Just curious.
