Angry 930 wrecked

Just hit a guardrail with my 930 this morning. Lost control on wet on ramp went into snow then back to road and snow in tires caused the car to hit guard rail. Damaged front right fender and crushed rear flare and somewhat of a crease in quarter behind door. Fairly pissed at myself and now trying to determine best ways to repair. Taking in tommorrow and I was looking for possible quarter panels to replace with although all used car part places do not have any. LA, DC Automotive, Parts Heaven etc.... no luck. Any ideas on repair ideas would be appreciated......Dale

Damn Dale, you're being kind to yourself. I think I would be beyond pissed, not because of any fault but just because it happened. What a major downer. The key now is to do the American thing and find someone to blame.

Shoot some picts out for us to cry over. I'm sure you'll get all sorts of support and suggestions on repairs.

Very sorry to hear about your 930, beyond a downer. Hope it all works out for you.
These guys are well known for their reproduction panels, nice quality stuff for the few pieces I have seen used on other Porsche's

Aww man I feel for ya! The weather here has been crapola the last week or so. Did you hesitate to take it out in the bad weather, or never thought twice?

Hopefully you can repair it. Its definitely worth repairing. Please let us know if you get it all patched up again so the rest of us know what we might have to do if we are in the same tough position.

no the roads were dry although I must have a wet/black ice spot....not sure. Car went around like crazy the and I could not control the vehicle and it hit the guard rail. Looking for parts and I think we found a quarter panel ....

These baby's can 'go around like crazy' on dry roads. You probably did hit an icy spot, damn the luck anyway. Once that rear end starts coming around, about all you can do is what your instinct says not to do...countersteer and stand on the gas. Easier said than done.

Good luck with the repairs...not the end of the world. She's repairable, you're intact, what could be better?

Check out the Porsche Dismantlers dudes down in L.A. I have no experience with them but they seem to have a huge inventory.
