Over boost switch cuts fuel pump power.

Here's a picture of the boost gauge sending unit (the orange rubber covered thing about 2" in diameter, sitting directly above the fan shroud and between it and the intercooler). It's mounted to the boost recirculation manifold that sits atop the intake manifold. Sorry...too much information!

Ignore the rest of the non-stock stuff in the picture, but the sender location is still stock.

There are some good threads on the subject on pelican.

Hi C.

The car was in the garage. I started the engine for the First time. I was just listenning to the sound of the exhaust when after 1 minute the engine stopped running and I heard a burst "pow" comming from the engine. After that, I've tried to start the engine again, but the starter didn't work ....

What could that be ?

I'm in Rio de Janeiro and we don't have many mechanic options as you have in the US .....

Any information will help a lot !!! :-)

What specifically happens when you turn the key to start the car?

Motor was just out? Could be as simple as a loose starter wire.

POW, as in BOOM pow backfire, or ZAP pow aka electrical arc? Check starter wires for the obvious.

Hi C.

The sound was more like a Boom.....

I met a local mechanic. I'll bring the car to him on friday. Hope he'll fix the car ....

I'll keep you informed about the news ( hope to have good news .... :-).

You have no spark, that sounds like unburnt fuel in the exhaust to backfire as described. See if the coil wire sparks when you have somebody crank it for you.
Prolly need cdi and coil.

I have good news !

It was a simple problem. The ignition module was broken. We changed it and the car is running very well. :-)
