Default Value of an '87 RUF

Been out of the 930 realm for a few years. In a parts purchase for 928s, the seller has a 1987 930 that was modified with all RUF: RUF 5-spd, 3.4l, guages, wheels, body kit etc.... He says he pulled the motor and trans a few years ago and had them gone through. Only issue now is that he has a little fuel tuning problem when cold. It belonged to a buddy of his that passed away and he has been helping get rid of his collection. Not a true RUF built car but built by a place on the east coast with all RUF parts. Any idea on value?

Thanks
I told the guy that i would shoot it out to the 930 community to check the value. He is not a Porsche guy. He said based on his limited knowledge that he would ask in the mid $50s OBO. I am not interested, but if anyone is, PM me. The car is in michigan.

I can't read mileage, detailed records would be very important here. Finding a buyer who wants this exact setup will be tough. A talented wrench to maintain it tougher.
It will be a lot of fun for someone.

Agree...$50k is imo too high. Hard to say how much with such limited info. If it is an "as in" condition without too much paper trail $35-38k would maybe be fair..but that's just a guess...

^That car is based on the Carrera 3.2 and is naturally aspirated. In no way is it a good point for comparison.

I agree that this car looks tired, but it may just be dusty from sitting dormant in a garage collection. Looks like it has other mods besides the RUF BTR conversion, as that exhaust is not a RUF item. Is the car a standard BTR or a BTR III? The III has electronic fuel injection, whereas the standard BTR uses the older CIS injection system.

If you'd like PM me the VIN and I'll cross-check it with my archives to see if I have any further info on the car, as I maintain a RUF Registry.

I may know this car. Did it once belong to Harry H. of Ohio?

The seller told me that it is not an actual RUF built car but was built by an east coast shop with all the RUF goodies.
VIN is WP0JB0938JS050310

If the East coast shop was Exclusive Motorcars when they were the Ruf importers back in the day. They were very well known for Ruf conversions in the 80's and part 90's. let's face it most Ruf cars out there are conversions.

I spoke with the owner again today and there is lots of details on the car. I said I will have any interested parties contact him direct. Anyone interested can contact him directly at:
bsharp@sharpsupplyauto.com
His name is Bruce. Motor was pulled and refreshed/regasketed within the last 200 miles with lots of work done. Rebuilt turbo. Lots of factory RUF parts.
FYI, he said he will be gone from @ the 29th-3rd on a vacation.
I just purchased a bunch of parts for my 928 from him and he seems to bea straight shooter.

Regarding other cars, you may want to contact him. Not sure of there is anything else??? I guess his friend Harry had lots of cars.
