Default Insurance deductibles

If you have more than one car insured with one carrier can they hit you up for a deductible on each one even though the damage was caused by the same incident ( Sandy)? Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks.

Each vehicle is its own policy, so yes, you will have a separate deductable per auto, unless you can double down on your home owner's policy to cover personnel property within your vehicles. It is considered an extension of your domicile and therefore should be covered under your home owner's policy (in some states).

On my collectible cars, I pay for "Stated Value" coverage with $250 deductible per car.

I review the values every year and make adjustments up or down....usually up !

I learned the hard way in 2010 when some rotten fuch stole one of my '66 911 and I had not kept adjusting for the recent climb in values of early cars.

Yes I had that as well on my 911T, but I also had three other less collectables that I lost, each with a deductible.

They are all on the same policy.

Baron, check out the link below. I have an "Agreed Value" policy and have always been cautioned to avoid "Stated Value" policies. It's worth checking out, anyway.
