Lightbulb more autoheat / blower fan repairs 1989 turbo

Hi all
The 87 to 89 turbo in the uk differs from the pre 87 turbo in its autoheat mode of action.
There is no expensive relay in the engine compartment ,but having been through virtually everything to get the side footwell blowers working and finding nothing apparently wrong ,eg servo motor ,pc board ,fans themselves, relay or fuse under hood/bonnet.
I came across the 2 block connectors just under the carpet on the tunnel behind the sets ,which connect the autoheat wiring to the rear of the car.
There was also a 5 amp fuse wired between the external wires on the smaller of the 2 blocks.
This looked like someones afterthought ,but without the 5 amp spade type fuse or wires firmly in the blocks ,the fans dont work ,would you believe it ,the fuse had blown ,even though it looked like it hadnt, and one of the fuse wire connections was poor .
This was resoldered ,new fuse and 2 weeks and 12 hours later ,all fixed ,
Hope this helps you guys a little with a late model 930 turbo.
