Need Help
Good day everyone! I am looking at a 930 that is being sold by Classic Motors of Washington D.C.
I was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with this group.
Thanks for your help! Tom

Gray market, yes but one of the nicest ones I have seen in a long time. Agree with Tom about PPI, but not the color. I like. Looks like it may have been a Euro pick up (touring pkg brochure in luggage compartment) Be sure and get the fuches or at least a $2K allowance. Let us know what happens.

Looks like a pretty nice car, Id get the ppi and bust them down to 30-32 pending results. Fuchs are going for 2-4k on ebay, so I doubt they're gonna actually buy a set.
Personally like the color combo.
Its a federalized car, so that brings the value up a bit as well.

Looks to be a very sanitary example, despite this location being right around the corner from my house I haven't personally dealt with them other than a phone inquiry about consigning a past vehicle...at the time their terms didn't jive with my needs and an upfront cost of 3 bills for detail expense kind of rubbed
me the wrong way.
They do tend to offer (usually consigned mind you) some pretty decent 70's,and 80's european sports
both german and british.
As suggested plan for a PPI and hammer minimum for the price of a decent set of fuchs although the
current Gemballa's (or whatever just escapes me presently) were quite popular in Europe at the time...

This dealer has been around on the avenue for several years now.. they seem to have some interesting cars from time to time but I have never dealt with them and don't know of their reputation. I do know that a lot of their cars are consignment.
This one looks like a decent unmolested car... and as someone pointed out, the door pockets are missing.
The wheels are Ronal R9s.. this would be a negotiation point. Fuchs or something more appropriate would be desirable.
As most suggest, you would want to do a PPI. There are several shops in the area that are very capable ("in the area" would be MD or VA)
You also need to factor in that there will probably be charges to have the car flat-bedded to and from a shop. Also, be mindful that not all PPI's include leak down and compression tests so you will need to be specific with your needs.
MD, I would try Rodger @ Autotherapy in Gaithersburg or Matt @ Suttgart Engineering also in Gaithersburg
VA, the closest would Jeff @Autosportsystems Group or Charlie @ Intersport
