Default dashboard piece

Hello and thanks in advance. I just took possession of a 1986 Turbo Carrera (930) and am in the process of bringing it up to spec and fixing some trim issues. To the right of the steering column (LHD) is a hole in the dash. I found a disconnected black tube behind this, approx 3/4" ID with two bends, is approximately 12" long. Am I right in assuming this is the interior air temperature sensor for the climate control? There is no cover for it. I have seen pictures of a louvered plastic cover. Any ideas about this hole and finding a cover for it, if that's what it is? I searched the forums and couldn't find mention of this. Also, some of the tools are missing from the original tool kit. Where is the best place to look for the ones I need to have a complete kit? Thanks again.

Try Oklahoma Foreign Auto, in OKC, they have hard to find pieces and parts at good pricing.

Yes, that is the interior temp sensor intake. You could also try DC Auto in Rocky Mount, NC (www.dcauto.com/) as they have a huge inventory of 930 parts. Good Luck!

you might also try 20th Street Auto in Phoenix Arizona. They are a Porsche salvage yard.
