Muffler replacement, Good mod?

My 930 has the single outlet Fabspeed exhaust as well. I love the sound and especially the deceleration pops. No annoying resonance in the cabin. Plus you don't have to cut a hole in the valance for the other side with a single outlet.

thanks for all the responses. I will go ahead with the MBC valve and see what difference it makes. Exhaust i will decide on whether Rarly 8 or Fabspeed.

I,ve had a stock, SS GHL dual outlet (IMHO I love that sound - shameless plug, it's for sale) And now have a zork. Mine is not a daily so the drone did not bother me. As for the Zork I love the flames and poping on deceleration... my 2cs

There's one thing that's always confused me about my Fabspeed. I bought it from a person, described as a dual-out. It exits on the right side, vs. left side for a marketted single outlet. The dual-out has only one outlet for exhaust gasses, so what gives with that description? The only thing I can think of is that the dual-out Fabspeed also includes a matching exhaust tip for the wastgate (replaces the WG muffler) so you end up with the rear of the car looking like a dually but really only the right side exits the muffler and the left side exits the wastegate. For my setup, you have to cut the right side of the valence (the PO had done that at some point, so that was easy).
Anyway, I like the straight-through design exiting on the right side.

Hey Guys, thanks for the feedback. Our New Mufflers are a true Dual Outlet, so you will have a 3.0" tip coming from both sides of the muffler. The wastegate tip was our first generation design and worked well but we wanted to go with something that made more power and sound. You are also able to switch between single or dual with the removable cap off if you don't want to cut your rear valance. The system does get rid of the catalytic converter on the car for improved sound and power.
Thanks and let me know if you have any questions.

Alex,
If I understand you, then apparently what I have is the earlier version of your Fabspeed single outlet muffler (which exits out the right side of the valence only, with no provision to cap off and switch to left side exhaust if wanted). When purchased, it included the WG pipe with rolled lip oval tailpipe to match the right side. Looks good from the rear of the car with the valence on, exactly as you've pictured in your last post.
Either that, or I've got a B&B right side exit muffler and Fabspeed WG tail pipe and don't know it...but I'm certain that years ago when I bought this used it was a Fabspeed.
God, I feel stupid for some reason all of the sudden...

Three Wheelin'
Alex,
I have the older design exhaust and am happy with it. Out of curiousity, how much more power does the dual out make? Any resonance with it? It feels like I lost a little power when I switched from the 4.5 dual out B&B. However, I can drive my car at all hours now without waking up the neighborhood! lol

The true dual outlet, does increase a little more exhaust flow so it will make about another 5-8+ HP and TQ vs the single. The older generation made a great sound and power improvement, so you aren't loosing anything. They sound great, but the newer design allows for a few more HP and little more aggressive sound. Enjoy your exhaust and check out our headers as a future upgrade. PM me if anyone is interested and I will give you a member nice deal on a new setup.
thanks,
thanks,
