May leave it alone, it's really stock except for the sound system and the exhaust!
I wouldn't mind the front end to be a little more planted over bumps and in the twisties though, will need to check the suspension setup and maybe improve it.

Great find, congratulations! Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the evolutions of 911 cars of this generation to the 997GT3 since you have them both - based on your own driving impressions of course. I have not noticed any other RL members who have both a 930 and a 997GT3 simultaneously.

The clutch is heavier in the 930, suddenly feels very light in the GT3 in comparison. The 930 brakes are much less powerful and require a stronger input (GT3 has incredible brakes). The 930 is less well planted esp in the front on bumpy turns. The 930 steering feels kind of approximative in comparison to the laser sharp GT3.
Honestly, I'll never push the 930 except on straight lines. I'm not good enough to challenge the beast on tough turns. I would leave aggressive cornering to the more docile and predictable GT3.
Oh, the sound of the 930 is way superior, esp with the Fabspeed exhaust, with the burbles and pops sounding like some marine engine. Love it!

Interesting points, thanks. Some of the shortfalls (suspension, breaks, etc.) of course is the reason why very many of us start modifying these cars. Great situation to be in to be able to have both the cars you have. Enjoy them in good health

BTW, I didn't realize that my center console (with the cassette holders) isn't typical for 930s. I've seen one like it in a 930 slantnose. I wonder if it's an option or an aftermarket add-on?

It does look like a 930s center console. I don't have an original list of options handy but know they had "performance kits" at the time. Did you get all the records for the car?

Green - Congrats! Sweet car. I am in Houston (Jersey Village) and have an '89, there are a few of us 930 Houston owners on this forum and Pelican. If you ever make it out to Cars and Coffee in Vintage Park you will be able to meet some owners.
