Default The 930 3.5 Horse Power Guessing Game - Step Right & Try Your LUCK !

Hi Guys,
I'm getting a Dyno next week and I wanted to poll your ballpark estimates on the estimated Horse Power.
I know there are a lot of variables for you to consider but this is just for fun to see how you all do.
I will post the winning estimate next week.
The winner will get an Honorable Mention posted after all the results are tabulated.
Feel free to ask questions and remember this is just for fun.
My 1987 930 Specs are as follows:
- 3.5L with higher compression pistons 7.5 to 1.
- Larger Half Bay Intercooler.
- Fresh K27 7200
- .8 Bar Spring (for the summer)
- Headers with Fabspeed muffler
- CIS
- Single Plug/Cylinder
- Stock Fuel Delivery
- Stock Heads
- Stock Cams
Is there anything else I can add?
Good Luck

I'll play....410. And if you get that much, I would be concerned about getting enough fuel to do it safely.
I'm probably way off.....but WTF, nothing to lose.

Thanks Mark,
From your Post to God's ears. I can only wish to be so blessed.
I have an AFR gauge and I'll be watching out cause I would not look forward to a melt down. I really hate when that happens.
I'm glad to share the Porsche Passion with all of you.

I will put it at 380 or so. Just a guess. It will still kick *** against almost anything else. light cars with big torque win races....

Need to clarify the terms: at the crank, or at the wheels?

Hi Mark,
My 930 will be measured on a rear wheel roller Dyno so our unit of measurement will be HP at the rear wheels.

OK then, I reserve the right to modify my guess. The only part that is truely an unknown is the impact of the 3.5 P/C combo, and the higher compression. Those should have a positive impact, surely, but how much is anyone's guess (which is what we're doing....guessing...right?)

At the wheels, my ammended wild-assed guess now stands at 355. Having never put my car on a dyno...?

Glenn,
You will need wider wheels and tires to get all that power to the ground. Let me know if I can help.

I will go 355 to the wheels with no dyno corrections.

Does this mean we both win a trip to Disneyland if the dyno says 355?
