Default Update

Sorry, it's been a while, but here's an update. My dyno tuner has the car and we have fitted her with a larger Bullseye turbo cuz the smaller Garrett just seem to run outta breath way too soon and only made 400 Hp for us on the dyno. I'm not blaming the little Garrett turbo for all the problems cuz we had boost leaks and the old Intercooler was way too restrictive, so we went bigger on the IC too. Below are some pics of new IC & Turbo comparisons.

No dyno results for the big boy turbo/IC setup yet cuz the OEM scavenge pump can't keep up with the turbo oil feed rate at high RPMs. We suspect it's due to our current single outlet drip tank setup which has no breather/vent causing a vacuum related issue in the return line or at the pump. This OEM pump has been rebuilt & resealed twice and drains the tank at idle just fine, but when we turn up the RPM we get oil backing up in the drip can until it causes oil to flow through the turbo brgs into the exhaust making smoke.

We are planning to add a gravity drain in addition to OEM pump, so here's what our new duel outlet drip tank will look like:
