Default Check out this turbo for sale

The only concern I have is that I spoke to the owner and he stated that the car has a 5 speed. We all know that the G50/50 was only available in the 89. He stated he had no clue about the tranny he bought the car with all these mods. Could it be a real RUF tranny? Also, he states real RUF exhaust, does not look like RUF exhaust.....Any opinions???

I'm not sure on the exhaust, but that is definitely not a ruf intercooler. Looks like maybe a b&b powder coated black?

The transmission would be able to be verified by an under the car shot, of the part number. The auction doesn't say ruf trans so it is probably a g50 transplant.

If the guy doesn't have any of the records of the work done, or service records, I'd be loathe to go over 30k on the car...

There are a lot of nice cars out there. A forum member has a nicely modded 930 for sale...

Looks very nice indeed.

I would be very careful with that seller. He bought a 944S2 from me and what a pos to deal with he was. He was banned from Rennlist for spamming and being a tool in general. Here is a similar thread where another of his "customers" was singing his praises:

Pretty comman to swap a G50 into 930's patrick motorsports sells all the parts, expensive. I had a 79 with this tranny, I liked it better than the 4 speed. Looks like a pretty nice car to me, exhaust looks like a B&B.

Not a G-50, as you can see it still has the cable release for the clutch. If you ever need a short bell housing let me know, I may know a guy...

Then that would infer a Ruf 5spd, right?

I'm still hoping to treat my 930 to a Patrick G50 someday...

Very nice clean car, well presented. The inntercooler is in fact a B&B unit painted black.

I am 95% sure that is a 4 speed. The case looks JUST like a 4 speed, so unless the RUF 5 speed is built out of a 930 case its a 4 speed. (I don't have a Ruf 5 speed handy to look at)
