Default Fuel Distributor Removal

Obviously the fuel lines need to come off. What else? Do the fuel line bolts hold the distributor on?

It's been awhile, but after you pull all the fuel lines, there are three screws on top that have to be removed. Once removed, you pull the fuel head off. You may need to lower your engine some to get to it.

What the *#_*... Is that two straight slots and a torx? Sheesh what a pain.

The 3 screws holding the fuel head on shouldn't be real tight because that could maybe distort the top half of the precision aluminum fuel head a real tiny bit or make it real hard to get the screws off next time.

There is an oring on the bottom control plunger extended section of the fuel head that could be a little stuck in the hole it fits into in the airflow meter housing. Rock the head gently a little while lifting it if the oring sticks.

I ditched those 3 gold cad plated screws and got some stainless steel allen bolts and used them instead. They fit perfectly in those recessed holes and look much better than the screws.
The one that someone said may be a torx bolt may be buggered up from someone going at it whith a too small screwdriver carelessly.

I can't remember the thread size, pitch, and bolt length of the 3 screws but a bolt supply place can match them up for you if you want to replace them with stainless allen heads.
