Dave,
That spacer (930 331 611 04) is NOT fastened to the hub. The press of the wheel flange and lug nuts is the only thing "retaining" it. You may want to hit it with some cleaner and then perhaps some Kroil or other penetrating oil to break any rust holding it to the hub. Don't break this spacer as they are very hard to come by and are VERY expensive (if you are buying a factory part).

I had both rear wheels off today to get new skins mounted and balanced (after blowing one out last Wednesday...fun, fun!). Both wheel spacers were free and would just slide right off.

Thanks for the advice. After 25 years, the spacer just wasn't ready to come off easily. I ended up using a 3-arm gear puller with the arms reversed so I could go inside the hub and I was able to get the spacer off.
