Default Cylinder/Piston wear limits?

Does anyone have wear limit specs for a 79' 930 Need the taper and roundness and piston clearance limits. Thanks for any and all help.

NO more than 0.004" on the barrell's, if there is no evidence of detonation on the pistons, usually the ring lands are worn, make sure you measure those with new rings.

Bernie, are you saying .004 taper and .004 roundness? Thanks for the help.

Thanks again, I thought I remembered the manual saying .0015 on roundness and .003 on taper. I don't have my manual with me and looking at some used cylinders that are within the .004 spec.

I am in the planning stage for my rebuild. Are the stock 930 p+cs typically reusable? The only upgrades I am planning are sc cams and arp hardware and running at 1 bar. Would be interested to see how many have been able to reuse. Would love to be able to save that expense.

It all depends on wear, tear, mileage, etc. If you do buy new, you should upgrade to the fully finned P&C's.
