Early CIS Injector Dimensions, Sleeve Materials
I'm looking at using early 930 CIS injectors in another 6-cyl, 3.0l, 300hp, turbocharged, CIS application, for which original injectors are NLA. It's an odd old Pierburg system, currently running some unknown old Bosch injectors (work fine, but run out of fuel). The specified system and injector opening pressures are within a few psi of early 930's and other early Bosch systems.
Could someone here get or point me to the physical dimensions (length, length to threads, length to boss, etc) of an early (78-83) 930 injector? I assume diameters and connections are uniform for late 70's Bosch CIS?
And a side question - what material are injector sleeves made of or, more to the point, what could they be made of if I found I would need to machine adapters?
Thanks for any input,
Mike
