Run Forrest Run, these things rust from inside out, if they get driven in winter it can be a mess to repair. Lot's of good 930 out there w/o any rust buy one of those.

That 10k is just a ticket to get in the door! Rust is the most disappointing thing to fix on a car. After all the labor and time you put into it you end up with a car that is just the same as one without any rust. It's like buying a house that needs a new roof. After you replace it the price of the house value doesn't go up because everyone expects a house to have a good roof. And as mentioned above, rust is from the inside out. That means by the time you can see it there is a lot more that you will never see until it comes through your new paint job.

Trust me the best way to own a very expensive Porsche is to go buy a really cheap 930. If you have the skill and time go for it.

+1000 to all of the above. You can find a no-rust 930 and at the current market value be way ahead on both money, and the earlier enjoyment of driving it versus "restoring" it. It might make an interesting "parts car" for a more solid car's restoration. It's one thing to rebuild the motor, tranny, suspension, and etc. It's another to do major structural restoration on the body and chassis. Good luck with whatever you decide.
