Default Need Brake Pad suggestion- 79 930 T

Can anyone suggest a brake pad they find works best on the early turbos for me? Also the cheapest place to buy them (buybrakes.com perhaps)?

Rotors are cross drilled, stock fuchs on car, the brake pads on now are OEM replacements.

Don't know anything about what that hokie website sells.
- OEM replacements are fine.. Textar, Jurid, etc..
- Ferodo is good if you can find them
- All Turbos come with drilled rotors except 76-77

Try some of the vendors that advertise here, I'm sure someone has what you need.

- Unless the rotors & hubs have been swapped for later units.. you have floating front rotors and you're gonna squeal worst than your brakes when you pice those!

- Car looks nice, please get that car lowered..

Good luck!

I have Hawk HPS pads on mine and they're very good street pads. I think HPS stands for "high performance street".
They are HB170F .650
..they have .650" thick pad material

I had Pagid S537FG street performance pads on there before and I can't tell much difference, but the Hawks cost less.

I shopped around and the best price I found was from a place in Syracuse,
NY and shipping was free when you bought front and rear pads.

Default brake pads

Hawk HPS are excellent.....low dust...great stopping power...easy on rotors....1000% better than factory pads...last a long time...over 50,000 on fronts...much longer on rears ( I have 239,000 mi. on my 930)...have been using them a long time. Call Sidney at Vertex 866.668.0660....he'll usually give you a very good price.

+1 on Hawk HPS. I have HP Plus's on my '89 and love them.
