The lightest you can get a 930 with factory doors and fenders but glass hood/bumpers is around 2200 lbs. That means everything has been stripped out that is not part of the actual drivetrain.

He has a regular 911 which weigh a little less and he has added lightweight flares to, and he is running fiberglass doors (and everything else) and probably I would think some kind of fuel cell to achieve such a low weight. You can see that the components in the dash are gone. That is my next step...

turboguy: Is the 2108 lbs with all fluids including a full tank of gas? What scale did you use? Just curious because that is a pretty low weight!

Awesome. But isn't a little tough to get around corners? I had 10 X 18 Fikse's on my last 88 and with out power steering, I found it tough in tight turns.

WAAAAaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaYYYY COOL!

Welcome! Congrats! Incredible build / execution. Loved the SLR story - that's not something you hear about every day (or the results heh heh). Keep up the good work, and keep with the sharing.

I'm sure someone by now has pointed you to the turboPALOOZA thread going on Pelican - REALLY would love to meet you and see that gem WOT'd through the scenic hills down thar yes! I'm pretty certain I'm speaking for everyone here heh heh.

Anywho...

Hey brother, u are practically a neighbor, as i am in Wilmington, NC Great work on your ride and welcome to the 934 brotherhood. A few pix of mine. Lots of go fast goodies (934 cam, 935 P/C, 934 headers, adjustable boost) but using TEC-GT system.

As on of the co-organizer of 'Turbopalooza2009' to be held in Charlotte, NC from June 26-28, i would like to formally extend an invitation to you and your ride to attend. The weekend will consist of a trackday at Carolinas Motorsports Park on Sat June 27 and a mountain run to the 'Dragon' on Sunday June 28. Here is the official thread form the 'other' board http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?t=462180

Dude, all of this is taking place litterally in your backyard.... there are 930 guys coming from as far away as FL, NV and NY to participate. Would be a shame for u to miss it.

Interesting. Your car looks exactly like an old friend of mine also from NY. I'll have to find and post some pictures of his car.

Default Nice Times two ??

OK so...is this really a coincidence? From the seats, extended whailtail, Split weld on the intercooler tank, even the Porsche fender stickers. Hmmm

Thanks for the update...I weigh my car at the dump too and they are very accurate. Technically the extra half tank of gas would put the car at a weight that makes sense. 2108 lbs is just off the charts for a wide body, 2160-70 lbs on the other hand sounds a little more achieveable for my own personal weight reduction project. I am aiming for 2200 lbs.

So cool.

Sense it started out as a 911, did you put Turbo rear arms on it?

No worries about the 915 holding up? Must have done some bit magic there. I would think it would go poof with 500hp? Having a 915 is much of what is keeping me from turboing my Carrera.

Any reasion you did not build the 3.2 up as a turbo?

Again, such a cool car and one of the best incarnations of any Porsche.
