Bay Point is about an hour's drive for me....if you'd like me to go check it out for you, I'd be happy to. From your post, you appear to be a little cautious about the potential of someone bagging it out from under you...I have two Porsches and no need for another...so if you'd like to PM me, I like any excuse to get off my dead retired A$$ and go do something meaningful.

This is probably not the same car. However, 2 years ago when I was first looking at 930's, I came across a car that looks suspiciously like that one.

Same year, same color, same mileage, same popped trunk lid, same sticker in the window, same wheels, same ,same, same.

It was advertised as a car that got caught in a minor street flood....
By the time I finally got ahold of an owner it had past through 3 hands, 1 in NJ, 1 in Kansas, and finally landed in Florida. And that was all within 2 weeks. It did come with a SALVAGED title so that should weed this one out if it has a clean title.

Maybe. Maybe not. The title could have been cleaned up at some point.

Thats very nice of you!!
I have already purchased the car and im still trying to find the owner. Car was at a insurance auto auction and has NO records Whatsoever but the engine looks VERY Fesh, Clean and DRY.

If someone could do me a BIG favor I would Really APPRECIATE IT!!

CAN SOMEONE POST A ADD WITH ONE OF THESE PICTURES SOMEWHERE ON PCA???
It would really help me out, Im just trying to find the owner to see if he has records. Car was totalled out because of the suspension being bent on 1 wheel.

Can't you run the VIN and get some info off that thru DMV? If it's a California car, you should be able to contact DMV and get some sort of ownership history on it, but they'll redact some of the personal information because of privacy issues. Wasn't the car sold by an insurance company? Were they the insurer for this car and wouldn't they have some information on the insured? There has to be some sort of paper trail if it ended up at an auction...what about running a CarFax?

Did carfax and carfax doesent give out that information.
Insurance companies, The Auto Auction and Cali DMV Have a policy against giving out peoples info.
I have tried before and they pretty much tell me to go Screw myself (sorry for the bad language). They dont even want to talk to a person when it has to do with me getting the owners info.

So thats why I decided to turn to rennlisters to see if someone could post on PCA because the car had a PCA sticker which means this guys had to be a member.

Go to a Porsche dealer near the car and see what records they have. Might find the old owner(s) too.

You might be able to call around wih the VIN as well.

Wow.. I own that same exact year and color combo 930 . Bought it new at the now defuct California Porsche Audi . White Gold is the color. Very nice color and very uncommon.

Tough to get any info in California but I think the Porsche dealer is a great suggestion as long as you have the VIN

The dealer will not give any info out. When I got my car they wouldn`t give any info out about the former owner.....
