Bill: I think you meant "Ruf" rather than rug...they claim that it is a 400 HP car, yet I see the steel air lines still in there and the factory intercooler? Usually they tear out the smog stuff and put in an aftermarket intercooler...and insofar as Ruf is concerned....I don't see it. The exhaust tips look like the stock stuff to me, although the muffler doesn't look stock...dunno....there are guys on this forum with a lot sharper eyes than mine...and a better knowledge of Ruf "stuff".
Oh yeah...for other guys going to the BJ auction site to take a look...you have to wait a bit for it to load the database, then it's listed as number 705.1 down near the middle....

Man oh man, that is a lot of bread for that car. I can tell the exhaust is stock and you say the IC is stock so where is the RUF stuff? No one would up grade an engine and keep the stock IC and exhaust. Hell, for $45K you could buy just about any kind of 930 you want in todays market. If you can walk away from it ,run!

Like Chuck, I'm no Ruf expert, but that's a whole lotta money for that car that shows no Ruf parts. The exhaust looks stock althought the muffer could have been swapped out. No big upgrade there. Interior looks stock. The oil return lines have been swapped out (you can see the snap rings). Turbo oil drain is stock. I wold think a BJ car would look better underneath, but what do I know.

I thought it was a bit sloppy for a BJ auction description...usually BJ is really picky about the cars they let in as well as they try to make sure the description accurately depicts what's going up on the block....however with the number of cars they run thru there, I can see how things would slip by unless it's one of the marquis cars...like an original Cobra.....or Howard Hughes' original 58 Buick that went for 1.5 million!! (owned by Barret's mother no less)
Bottom line is that it's up to you to preview the cars, just like it's up to you to PPI a car to try to ferret out the problems that might be hidden....either deliberately or innocently.
