Actually I talked to somebody about that car a couple months ago when they first started running the ad. The impression I got was that it was an X-Track car that was being flipped by somebody other than the owner. Also, I felt like some corners may have been cut in the build like a cheap roll cage bolted into the floor pan and the coil overs I don't know if they are supported right. Would rather see a garrett turbo. The carpeting looked beat, but that might not matter to everyone.

I sort of lost interest so it has been a while since I asked about it. I would want to replace the rear wing with a more conventional tail.

Forgot to mention, he quoted me a reserve price of like 37,500.

Overall not a bad price but why are the torque numbers so low?

I'd appears to be a Safety Devices roll cage. For a bolt in cage, it's a good one. The front legs bolt to plates welded to the front door sills, not the floor pan. The main hoop bolts to plates welded to the area around the rear seat/rear wheel well.

$37k may be optimistic, but it looks like nice car.

I felt that buying a used track car was more risk than reward, especially for a street car so I lost interest.

Geez, that car looks familiar. Wasn't there a member here on Rennlist or Pelican that had that car?

FWIW Innovative Turbo Systems (ITS) likely used garret or better parts to build the turbo. They have been used on a lot of very successful and fast cars and Ola really was a great turbo guy and good supplier. I would have sold a lot more of his stuff if it had been a tick less expensive.

I read somebody complain that they didn't last as long as garrets under track conditions, but we all know the internet is the wild west of info.
