I'm going to shamelessly hijack your thread....
Does anyone know of a simple way to get lost security codes for these radios? I've got the original Blaupunkt Los Angeles from my '87...in a box when I purchased the car...and it fires up just fine, all except for one critical thing like receiving a signal and playing music. Whichever previous owner took the radio out in the first place, didn't think to include the security code to re-activate it.

What? Is that supposed to re-set the thing to where a person does not need to enter the code? Interesting. The whole idea of security codes is to prevent the radio from operating by locking it all out anytime the power is permanently disconnected (such as when stealing it from your car).
