Any Sacramento cars going to Sonora 9/6 for the Fresno Meetup?

Sounds like a blast. I would like to see some nor cal turbos. Hopefully I'll have my car for the next event. Is there a support group for people who have had their cars in the shop for a couple years?

I got the oil drip tank as a used one that had previously been broken and brazed together right below the flange.....it cracked right on the brazed part of the downpipe....so I took it to a welding shop and had them re-do it....it may hold, it may not. It could have been stressed when I put the braided oil line on the other side and cinched down on the fitting even tho I used two wrenches. When I put it back on this time, I cinched down the braided oil line first then the flange side. I'm looking for a new drip tank in the meantime. I'm sure it woudn't have happened if it had been a new drip tank. The fellow who sell the OBX stuff told me $60 for a new drip tank....unless someone else has one they might want to off. It's not a very common thing to ask for.

Yargk,
Very funny comment regarding the support group. Man, that was a long time. What the heck were you doing... cleaning the under body with a toothbrush?
Chuck,
I have been meaning to ask you for a few pictures of both your heat exchangers and now the drip tank set up. Are you still running the stock drip tank? Did you have to back-date the oil lines when you installed the heat exchangers or do they fill up the same space as the stock ones therefore no oil line change needed. I forgot if we spoke about this but I would like to see.
Feel free to post here or if you need my email address let me know. I think you may already have it.
Thanks,
Bryan

As you know, Brian at Rarlyl8 did my exhaust system based upon the SSI parts I've bought over the year...and he sent me a freebie drip tank that had come from an old project, so the failure is not his quality control, but merely an attempt to save me some money...but it's just a stock drip tank. The SSI heat exchangers are larger than stock and take up the space in front where the OEM oil lines run, so that requires that you install the "back dated oil lines" that run behind (towards the front of the car) the engine. I got them thru Brian when he made up my Y pipe that you can see in the pics. I tried twice to post pictures and failed....here goes another try. Sorry...couldn't get the #$%$ system to accept the picture sizes. I'll email them to you and get some OJT in posting resized pictures.
