Your car is painfully beautiful! Everytime I see it i am in awe.

Have you posted anywhere about the engine setup/IC/cabin/brakes/IC water sprayer, etc?? I am doing some further modifications in preparation of next season and would love to see what you have in there.

Any lap times for reference?

Please PM if you would like to keep the setup private and don't mind sharing the fabrication, I live thousands of miles away so I am not competition!

Looking forward to see what monsters this thread will unveil, keep it going guys!

There was a great article on Van's car in Excellence. I think around 2001, might have been the same issue featuring the debut of the 996 GT2.

The intercooler is bigger than my first apartment

MKlaskin, not you too!

I just found some pictures of the intercooler setup. I was curious to see the functionality of the roof scoop. Look like the same cores on my car.

Yep the GT2 knocked me off the cover

Thanks for the kind words guys . I have been asked a few times to post a build on this car and I did take 100's of pics . As far as track times I did run the car at Road America but was geared way too tall at 190 @7000 ,,, duuh , mistake , anyway did a 2:16 the way the car sat at .9 bar of boost starting DFL through lots of traffic and finished 4th OA . I think the car would have done a 2:12 or so in a perfect world. Thunderhill sub 1:50's and Laguna sub 1:30's

By the way , all the cars I have seen in this thread are awesome.

No secrets so anything you want to know I am happy to share

Jean,

I was referring to Van's car. If you can get the article, you'll be even more impressed.

Van,

Do you still own that car???

I sold the car and the guy started changing the suspension around and kind of screwed the car up . I mean this car either won or set fastest lap (sometimes I would start form teh back of the pack for fun) in every race it ever ran and had only two DNF's ,one electrical fluke and the other a Fikse rim that came apart on me , so why monkey with it ? He finally wrecked it and I got it back from him .

Yeah, the detail and the commitment examplified by Van's car is off the hook. I'm usually not a huge fan of yellow or purple but on his car, strangely enough, it all works quite well. You've not seen clever until you've seen the habitrail-like air collector for the intercooler.
